Project „Virtual man”
There are four main levels of human modeling in computer graphics:
- level head and face,
- level of the body,
- level of the environment,
- crowd.
A significant portion of attention is spend to the human face, because it requires special modeling accuracy. In preparing a project „Virtual man” Terzopoulos team adopted the following concept of human head:
They assumed the following level of complexity of bones and muscles of the head:
It turned out that it takes 72 muscles.
At the level of the body virtual skeleton looked like a real human skeleton.

John Platt and Demetri Terzopoulos for their pioneering work on computer-generated simulation techniques for realistic movements and deformations of objects, such as textiles, received a Technical Academy Award in 2006. Oscars in the field of scientific and technological achievements get people who have made a significant contribution to the development of knowledge and technical progress in the cinema.
Summary
Modern Computer Graphics began to focus not only on the beautiful appearance of objects, but on the realistic behavior. The demand for such graphical objects occurs in fashion, computer games, military, rehabilitation and more.
