Because two lines crosses each other in the center of hemispere, the plane which contains both can be draw. The angle between two lines is measured in the plane containing them.
As always example is used for explaination.
Calculate
the angle between following pair of lines: 40-305, 35-250.
Firstly
estabilish two points to project two lines. Than rotate the net
until points reach to lie on the same great circle. This great circle represent
the plane containing two lines. Along the great circle measure the angle
between plotted lines. In present example the angle is 40 degrees.
Angle between a pair of planes is always measured in the plane which is perpendicular to both of them. The angle between poles is equal to the angle between planes.
Example:
Measure the angle between two planes:
320/25 i 95/45/S.
Firstly plote planes as poles 38-140 i 45-005. Then
use the same metod as that for measuring angle between two lines. The angle
will be 90 degrees.
Angle between the line and plane is an angle between the plane's pole and line. Because the fact that this angle and the angle between plane and line sum up to 90 we simply calcualte it: requested angle = 90 - angle between line and pole.
Example:
Calculate angle between the line: 18-300
and plane: 170/75.
Estabilish on the overlay the line and aforesaid pole,
which notation is: 15-350. Than measure the angle as in method for two lines.
Measured angle is 50 so requested angle is 90 - 50 = 40
